Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Elisa Smith & The Tiny Little Lies are steeped in the Americana roots and vintage country tradition. Drawing inspiration for their twangy, honky-tonk sound from country greats like Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, and Ralph Stanley mixed with a dash of modern rock country, their songs elicit feelings of nostalgia, pride, wanderlust, and good ol' fashioned boot-stompin' mischief. The diverse backgrounds of the band, including a Midwestern trouble-maker, a homeless oil-rigger, a Montana mountain darling, a son of the founding fathers, a jalapeño pepper farmer, and a Sassy señorita fuse together to form a truly American sound. Smith assembled the band in 2015. None of the members knew each other before they began playing as a band, and yet each member's connection to history, place, and musical tradition instantly bound them together.
