A Home for Every Writer

Five GrubStreet Writers on the Theme of Place and Making a Space for Emerging Voices

Join GrubStreet writers Katie Bayerl, Denise Delgado, Annie Hartnett, Eson Kim, Sara Rivera for a reading and lively discussion about the places and spaces that inform us as writers and the roles we play in making a home for new voices in our communities.

· Enjoy tasty tapas and beverages from Tres Gatos.
· Enter a raffle to win new titles from guest authors, a *free* one-day class at GrubStreet, and other excellent swag.
· Get signed copies of recent GrubStreet releases: A Psalm for Lost Girls (Katie Bayerl) and Rabbit Cake (Annie Hartnett).
· Kick back and mingle with local writers, artists, and neighbors.
· Raise funds for a new “Space for All” scholarship that supports diverse new writers* to find their place and voice at GrubStreet,

*This scholarship will go to one or more writers who apply for financial support to attend a class at GrubStreet and who come from an underrepresented group (e.g., writers of color, new immigrants, teens attending Boston Public Schools, writers with disabilities). 100% of raffle contributions will go to the Space for All scholarship, and our generous hosts at Tres Gatos will contribute 10% of all bar and book proceeds (all day!) to GrubStreet scholarships.

*Who are we?*
Five teaching writers who met through GrubStreet's Young Adult Writers Program which serves teen writers from Boston and beyond.
